DARK SIDE OF BODYBUILDING

DARK SIDE OF BODYBUILDING

Aesthetics originated with the Greeks 2,500 years ago have been attempted to be shaped by sports. The benefits of playing this activity are numerous. You may boost your strength and improve your skill. You might encourage yourself as well. However, there are risks as well.

·       LOW ENERGY: Most bodybuilders plan their daily calorie consumption in cycles. They often take more calories during training and fewer calories during competition. They unfortunately go through a phase of lower energy availability as an effect of the low-calorie diet. Dietitians view this as harmful because it has numerous negative impacts on a person's health and wellbeing, such as hormone imbalance or mental illness.

·       HIGH INJURY RISK: Bodybuilders face a risk of injury due to their intense workout routine. Most of the bodybuilders now have an injury.  Lower back, shoulder, elbow, and injury to the knee are the ones that occur most often. Many of the athletes also talked about experiencing persistent pain.

·       SOCIAL ANXIETY AND DYSMORPHIA: compared to most other athletes, professional and amateur bodybuilders encounter greater psychosocial problems. In fact, muscle Dysmorphia was created especially by psychiatrists for them. This disorder allows individuals to get obsessed on the size and shape of their muscles. They spent a lot of time, money, and effort into increasing their muscularity.
